Qbittorrent files not downloading

Windows 10, with the last version of QB. Skip to content. Star New issue. Jump to bottom. Won't start download, need to restart qbittorrent in order to start downloading. Copy link. Restarted qbittorrent and the download now started. Extra info if any I was updating from previous version 4. Archdregs closed this May 25, Now I'm not sure what to do.

It works sometimes but sometimes it does not work with downloading, even though I have seeds. Qbittorrent isn't even letting me move torrents around, I usually put torrents in a "downloading" folder then I put the finished torrents in a folder marked "Unsorted by Filebot" using the torrent program, But when I use the option "Set Location" in Qbittorrent nothing happens.

That and my torrents never check it seems, It takes forever to check if the check bar even moves at all. I don't know whats going on. Now I cant cant even get qbittorrent to close using the end process command with task manager.

I have used qBittorent for some time successfully, but recently have experienced the same problem. I appear to be set up correctly but suddenly am getting 0 upload and 0 download speeds. Although my computer registers clean when I do a thorough scan, I've noticed problems with other software programs not functioning correctly. Could I possibly have some type of virus that my Windows Defender is not picking up on?

I've already removed malware with Malwarebytes. Cleared it out and started downloading again straight away. I still had a lot of space left on my hard drive. However, due to all the problems with my inability to download torrents and similar problems with everything else, I finally bit the bullet and reloaded Windows 10 from scratch, losing practically everything in the process, including important files that I thought were personal.

But I'm happy to report I'm recuperating and qBittorent is functioning again. I didn't realize that when you redo Windows 10, you lose all your online settings as well. What a pain in the posterior!

Try changing the auto-assigned PORT to a random one - fixed the problem for me. Randomizing the port under connections instantly fixed this problem for me. Weird but there you go. If you can reproduce this in latest 4. Skip to content. Star New issue. Copy link. Please provide the following information qBittorrent version and Operating System Version: 4. What is the expected behavior Establish a connection and begin downloading a file when it is added. Steps to reproduce Start qBittorrent, use search tab to search for any file Double click on file to start download Switch to Transfer tab to check progress No connection is establishe, Status is "Stalled" and ETA is infinite and there are no "Peers" Extra info if any This is a new issue as I have used qBittorrent for several years with no problems.

If I start them they all attempt to start at 0 progress, then if I force rechecks, they will all return to normal after checking. Somewhere in the start of that process either when I start or recheck , I will see all torrents momentarily show 'moving files'.

Exit and restart after all has been corrected results in a repeat of the same - all torrents start as 'missing files'. Rolling back to 4. This bug could have been avoided in final release if this prior thread was not mishandled.

This is a long description, please bear with it. Method; I started with default setting and then step bu step changed it to what I use on the other machine. I'm not sure what steps are necessary, so I report all. Install qbittorrent 64 bit. Clean install - no previous qbittorrent on this machine. Test Two torrents are complete no issues.

Torrents queued as in downloading are ok Torrents errored showing missing files. Sorry for the wait. PR is up. The diff is small but I had to look into many codepaths to make sure I didn't break some other workflow.

I hope I didn't. Even the state is restored correctly paused in some torrents when restarted,. Will report back then, thanks. Updated again from 4. A few of the torrents in my list showed up as missing files fewer than last time.

Regarding the two that were being stubborn, removing and readding via magnet link did not fix the issue, but these were obscure torrents with no seeds and only one user, so it might be that if a magnet link is added and fails to download metadata prior to the restart, that it may show as missing files.

In the shuffle to reproduce, I deleted the two suspect torrents and can't seem to locate the same magnet links for them. I'd say keep an eye out for edge cases causing the issue, but it appears fixed for Also fixes all my affected torrents. Just works. Hmm, it appears the two suspect torrents keep returning even if they are deleted. Next restart they reappear. Investigating further. Update - these two torrents appear to have entered this state during the re-check shuffle while troubleshooting the first 4.

I've also noticed that they return with their save paths set to the old system default instead of the currently configured path reverts even if path is changed and torrents are not deleted before restart.

No monitoring options are set. Understood that this appears to be different than the OP issue, but posting here since I believe this condition was triggered by the initial 'missing files' issue. All of them either inside Qt or windows functions. Did it fix your force-recheck problem? Only valid test is to reproduce initial steps run affected torrents in previous version then upgrade to this patched build of v4.

If the file is large enough Previous versions - don't have libtorrent 1. Sorry, I can't clearly understand "the workflow" you described above. First of all: if you just download something and close-reopen qBittorrent there is no problem, right? The problem appears if you have performed "force recheck" after the torrent downloaded. Also what do you mean exactly when you say "files need to be re-checked again" after you reopen qBittorrent? Is torrent in "missing files" state? Or it just starts to check automatically?

You never said that you pause torrent at some step.
