I have no reason to keep it enabled same for the accelorometers etc anything to make the poor battery of DS4 controllers last longer. I doubt these will ever happen, not in our lifetime anyway. Shutdown console after download is a nice idea, i want that too now!
I think this is over shadowed by the standby downloading, which is not used for trust issues. Light bar — I dont think this will happen, as the light bar is the only way you can tell the controller is on, and also which player is assigned. Really annoying. Its clear at this point they made poor choices when creating their database and so it would be a LOT of work to fix it to allow name changes.
Especially supersampling. But are there any news about more 4k tv compatibility for pro users? The samsung TV I own alows it and the pro supports the hdr mode but not the 4k resolution for some reason. Samsung themselfs stated that there have been many complaints about this issue due to firmware problems. I have both 4k and HDR enabled. It generally works, but it will unexpectedly without warning black screen on me, sometimes coming back, sometimes not. But it would be nice if the base formatting of PlayStation would naturally be at ITS highest resolution.
If anyways has a resolve, let me know. There has to be a way to achieve that. If I can get freaking PS2 games to play at 4K resolution on a third party emulator, it should hardly be a herculean task for Sony itself to do likewise for PS4 titles on its own platform. Useful yes, simple no. How would they decide which resolution to support on each game without testing each one?
Why would they spend the money to do that? However much I would love the feature, being able to push DriveClub up to a higher resolution would be sweet, but its unlikely to happen as its too complicated.
The original PS3 version was better but is useless as they took the original leaderboards offline. Can you please fix the PS4 Pro issue of it making noise in rest mode. Older PS4s will make more noticeable noise. As the components wear down over the years, the fan works harder to prevent overheating, and that also includes dust build-up inside. I stopped playing console games because of the black bars. I want this too. Trophies are handled entirely by the game.
The sorting options alone would be a godsend. Can we get a checkerboard option for the Pro to upscale p games, or something better than just unlocking one CPU core. Not possible. Checkerboard rendering is not an upscaling method you can use to go from resolution X to resolution Y, it has to be implemented in the rendering code to target resolution Y. The new parental controls would have been useful when I first contacted Sony four years ago!
Hopefullly PS5 will have proper controls from day 1…. Just makes things a little easier and more useful. Right now you can only see them on the PS4 you used to earn the trophy, which makes the lists look incoherent and the screenshots eventually volatile.
Arguably this is necessary. I have a couple of trophies that I first achieved on Vita, then due to shared trophy lists and my Vita not syncing, were achieved again on PS4. When the lists synced, I had the trophy with the Vita date, but the PS4 screenshot. I still miss the ability to also change the game volume when I listen to Spotify on my PS4.
I want to be able to turn the game down so my speakers dont blow up suddenly if I have loud music. That way it would be fair to the people that earned the trophy legit when the servers were working.
